Travel Adventures: Switzerland!

Hi friends! I’m so excited to share with you about our recent trip to Switzerland! We spent eight days in the Swiss Alps/Zurich area and it was such a special time as a family! OUR 8 DAY ITINERARY IN SWITZERLAND Here’s a pretty detailed look at how we spent our time in Switzerland! Plus, TONS of photos from each day!💫 Day 1 (Friday) We landed at the Zurich Airport, picked up our rental car, and hit the road! It was a two-hour drive from the airport to our first apartment in Grindelwald, and we had some time before we could check-in. I had heard great […]

6 Amazing Alpine Playgrounds in the Swiss Alps

6 Amazing Alpine Playgrounds in the Swiss Alps

I  wanted to share some of our favorite playgrounds that we visited during our trip to Switzerland! Allmendhübel “Flower Park”  Details: This was a perfect spot for families — there’s a zip line, slides + swings, tons of climbing structures and ropes, water play, an underground tunnel, a ‘flower labyrinth’ water maze, easy hiking trails, and more, right in the mountains! 🇨🇭 Plus there’s a restaurant where parents can hang out on the patio while kids play! 🛝🌼  More info HERE. How to get there: There are a few ways to get there, but the most efficient (and what we did) was to start at […]

travel adventures: asheville, north carolina

I’m finally compiling all of my Asheville, North Carolina recommendations into one blog post! We’ve visited Asheville five or six times now since moving to Nashville and it’s by far our favorite drivable destination. It’s such a beautiful part of the country and there’s SO much to do! I’ve been sharing Asheville favorites over on Instagram for years, but it’s time for a detailed blog post. Things to Do: Tour The Biltmore Estate – more on this below! 🏰 Visit the North Carolina Arboretum, Bullington Gardens, Asheville Botanical Gardens, and/or WNC Nature Center 🪴🌿 Go rafting down the French Broad River – we did this […]

travel adventures: ICELAND!

travel adventures: ICELAND!

My husband recently quit his job (after 8.5 years!) and wanted to travel! And…we pretty spontaneously booked a kid-free trip to Iceland! We’ve heard wonderful things about Iceland from friends (and strangers) but never made it a priority to go. While I know tons of people go to Iceland with kids and love it, it hasn’t been on the top of our family travel bucket list. So this felt like the perfect kid-free destination for us! Now that we’re on the other side of the trip, we’d definitely love to come back with the girls when they are a little older. Anyway, here’s a huge […]

Favorite Waterfalls in South Iceland

Favorite Waterfalls in South Iceland

Seljalandsfoss I feel like I’ll remember our time at Seljalandsfoss forever. We visited right around sunset and I was just amazed at the beauty of this special canyon (including the nearby Glujrabui). The light was perfect and we even saw a rainbow coming out in front of the waterfall – just magic! 🌈 This is a very popular spot and we saw lots of big vans + buses of people, but it seemed to be less busy the later it got in the day. We were bummed we couldn’t hike behind the waterfall (sometimes possible at Seljalandsfoss) but still loved getting to see this waterfall! […]

5 Stunning Beaches in Turks and Caicos

5 Stunning Beaches in Turks and Caicos

1. TAYLOR BAY Ohhh this was SUCH a special spot! This small and quiet beach is on the southern, quieter part of the island (about a 20 min drive from Grace Bay). It’s the PERFECT for families with small kids as the water is super shallow and clear. So clear that we played with pool rings and could easily find them in the water/sand – crazy! The girls could walk so far out into the water and still be waist deep. More about Taylor Bay HERE. 2. LITTLE WATER CAY (IGUANA IGLAND) This was such a cool stop! The only way you can get to […]
