travel adventures: ICELAND!

travel adventures: ICELAND!

My husband recently quit his job (after 8.5 years!) and wanted to travel! And…we pretty spontaneously booked a kid-free trip to Iceland! We’ve heard wonderful things about Iceland from friends (and strangers) but never made it a priority to go. While I know tons of people go to Iceland with kids and love it, it hasn’t been on the top of our family travel bucket list. So this felt like the perfect kid-free destination for us! Now that we’re on the other side of the trip, we’d definitely love to come back with the girls when they are a little older. Anyway, here’s a huge […]

Favorite Waterfalls in South Iceland

Favorite Waterfalls in South Iceland

Seljalandsfoss I feel like I’ll remember our time at Seljalandsfoss forever. We visited right around sunset and I was just amazed at the beauty of this special canyon (including the nearby Glujrabui). The light was perfect and we even saw a rainbow coming out in front of the waterfall – just magic! 🌈 This is a very popular spot and we saw lots of big vans + buses of people, but it seemed to be less busy the later it got in the day. We were bummed we couldn’t hike behind the waterfall (sometimes possible at Seljalandsfoss) but still loved getting to see this waterfall! […]

5 Stunning Beaches in Turks and Caicos

5 Stunning Beaches in Turks and Caicos

1. TAYLOR BAY Ohhh this was SUCH a special spot! This small and quiet beach is on the southern, quieter part of the island (about a 20 min drive from Grace Bay). It’s the PERFECT for families with small kids as the water is super shallow and clear. So clear that we played with pool rings and could easily find them in the water/sand – crazy! The girls could walk so far out into the water and still be waist deep. More about Taylor Bay HERE. 2. LITTLE WATER CAY (IGUANA IGLAND) This was such a cool stop! The only way you can get to […]

Europe 2022 (Part 4): Venice, Italy

Hi there! This the fourth and final blog post in my series about our Europe 2022 vacation. As a reminder, we flew into Venice, Italy and then drove to the Lake Garda area for a couple days. Next, we drove up to The Dolomites for several days in the mountains. From there, we drove to Rovinj, Croatia and stayed in a kinderhotel that was incredible for our kids! Our last stop was back in Venice. We dropped off our rental car back at the airport and then took a water taxi (!!) to our hotel for a couple days to explore Venice and relax before heading back home […]
