48 Hour Mother Daughter Trip to NYC!

Hi friends! I  am still living on cloud 9 thinking about Lucy and my special ‘just us’ weekend in NYC together! 🥰 We were there for just over 48 hours had THE best time bopping around and spending individual time together. Here’s a day-by-day breakdown of what we did in NYC, some helpful travel logistics (re: carseat, stroller, etc!) and a list of things to do in NYC with preschoolers. Thanks for reading! FRIDAY We arrived to my friend’s house (where we were staying for the weekend) in the Upper West Side around 10:30am. We got situated, freshened up, gave his dog a giant hug, […]

Hi friends! We recently got back from our first international trip in 2+ years (and Winnie’s first ever trip abroad!). After so much time at home and an obviously overwhelming, anxiety-inducing, weird, and hard couple of years, we were eager and so grateful to (safely) explore a new country as a family. 🎉 Today, I want to share a ton of photos from our trip, plus some more info! It feels GOOOOOD to be sharing about travel again! ✈️ ⛱ At the bottom of this post, you can find links to our other Travel Adventures including visiting Portugal, Amsterdam, Paris, Belgium, and Morocco with kid(s). 4 Kid-Friendly Maine Beaches We Visited & Loved

4 Kid-Friendly Maine Beaches We Visited & Loved

We recently got back from our trip to New England! One of the highlights of the trip was exploring so many wonderful Maine beaches! We hadn’t been to Maine before and wow — it is just so beautiful and special! Today, I want to share four kid-friendly beaches in Maine that we loved! OGUNQUIT BEACH This beach was in walking distance to downtown Ogunquit (a super quaint and cute town!). It was a large beach with public restrooms and changing areas and a few restaurants and chair/umbrella rental areas nearby. This was the first beach we went to in Maine and it was a little […]

Travel Adventures: New England (Portsmouth, Portland, Boston)

Hi friends! Today I’m going to do a big long blog post all about our recent trip to New England! We flew in and out of Boston and stayed in three spots – Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Portland, Maine, and Boston, Massachusetts. We had heard THE BEST things about Portland so that was the main destination and where we spent the most time, but it was fun to stay in three distinctly different places and explore lots of places in between. We stayed two nights in Stay tuned for another blog post about Maine beaches we loved. 🙂 I decided to put those photos and details […]

travel adventures: california trip (august 2021)

travel adventures: california trip (august 2021)

At the beginning of August, we flew to California for a kid-free vacation! We flew to LA and dropped the girls (and Jack) off at Eric’s parents house, and we drove up the coast visiting our favorite spots. After living in California for eight years, the state is very near and dear to my heart — there is REALLY nothing like California. We had SO much fun visiting our old stomping grounds, taking a break as “mom and dad”, and seeing some of our closest friends. I’m going to do a quick photo recap of our trip for you today! Carmel Valley We drove up […]

visiting opryland’s soundwaves water park with toddlers

A few weeks ago, we decided to do a one night staycation at the Opryland hotel to visit the Soundwaves water park! I’ve walked around the hotel a few times (mostly to see the holiday lights!) but haven’t stayed there. We’d heard amazing things about their new-ish water park that is connected to the hotel, Soundwaves, and finally decided to give it a try! Soundwaves is a “three level, indoor/outdoor, luxury water attraction” in Nashville — it’s only about 20 minutes from our house so it made for a very easy staycation. I’ll dive into more details and share a lot of photos below! BOOKING […]
