travel adventures: carmel valley

when my sister kerry visited in february, we did a little weekend trip down to carmel valley and had such a fun time! E and I have been down twice before, and really love the quaint small town and amazing, relaxed tasting rooms. Carmel Valley is just a quick 15 minutes inland from Carmel, and a pretty easy 20 or so minute drive to Bixby Bridge and into Big Sur. and, since i’m heading down that way this weekend (see you Sunday, Big Sur 5K! ??), I wanted to share a few recommendations on places to go in Carmel Valley and photos from our recent trips. […]

travel adventures: tulum, mexico

hi friends! as you may have noticed, a few weeks ago, E and I spent a week in Mexico! we stayed in Tulum, a small, eco-friendly, trendy beach town about an hour and a half south from Cancun. I received a ton of great recommendations and we went to a lot of places, so wanted to share my version of a Tulum travel guide with you! WHAT TO DO: We stayed in a gorgeous Airbnb (pictured) closer to town that we loved! It had a private pool surrounded by a photo worthy pink wall and tons of plants, swings on the roof, and an impeccable […]

travel adventures: PARIS!!!

Hi! The last stop on our trip to Europe a few months ago was to Paris. I have the most magical memories of being in Paris from my first visit with friends in 2012. It was my first international trip and I was totally entranced by the city (as most people tend to be). I was SO excited to be there with E and celebrate our anniversary there! We stayed at a small but exquisite Airbnb right in the center of Le Marais neighborhood. We could easily walk to tons of cafes, shops and river Seine, which was perfect. We received tons of recommendations from friends […]

travel adventures: provence

travel adventures: provence

This blog post is very delayed, but wanted to continue sharing photos from our September trip to Europe. I previously shared photos from the South of France and London, and today want to share photos from stop #3 – the Provence region! It took a little under two hours to drive from our stop #2 in Antibes in the South of France to Provence. After some recommendations from friends, we decided to stay in the centrally located town of Aix-en-Provence. We loved it! The town is filled with art schools and universities, so felt a little more bustling compared to some of the smaller towns […]

travel adventures: south of france

travel adventures: south of france

Hi! Today I’m going to share photos from our second stop in Europe – the French Riviera (or Côte d’Azur) in the South of France! People keep asking me what my favorite part of the trip was and while every single place we went was really unique and special, something about our time here felt extra magical. So right now, this might be my favorite! It felt truly like a vacation – very relaxing with nothing in particular to do or anywhere to go. We flew into Nice from London and rented a car. We decided to stay in Antibes, which was a short drive […]

travel adventures: london!

Hi friends! We just got back from our two week trip to Europe for our anniversary! Both E and I absolutely love traveling and exploring new cities and it was so fun to go to several new places on this trip. I’m going to be sharing photos and blog posts for each of our stops in Europe – London, the south of France / French Riviera, the Provence region and Paris – and highlight some of our favorite activities, places to eat/drink, where to explore, etc. To kick things off, I’m going to start with our first stop, London! Where we stayed: The Ace Hotel in […]
