Celebrating Jack’s 7th Birthday

Celebrating Jack’s 7th Birthday

This blog post is in partnership with BISSELL. We love a good party around here and never hesitate to celebrate! It’s hard to believe, but our sweet dog Jack turned 7 (!!) in November. We recently threw him a little Saturday morning tea party/dance party birthday celebration and it had the best time! I have quite the collection of extra party supplies, so I dug out the pup-themed supplies from Lucy and Winnie’s joint birthday puppy party for our tea party celebrating Jack! We brought out the puppy stuffies to join in on the fun, enjoyed a little snack plate and some ‘tea’ (apple juice), went […]

Crowdsourced Kindergarten Advice + Encouragement

Crowdsourced Kindergarten Advice + Encouragement

My beautiful, sunshine-filled, energetic, sensitive and brave five-year-old daughter is starting kindergarten next week. WHAT?!?! HOW?!?! You’ve probably heard the (paraphrased) Elizabeth Stone quote, but I  feel it so tangibly right now: “[To have a child is to] forever have your heart go walking around outside your body.” I feel like I’m growing up alongside Lucy — the same person I’ve always been, but also a different version of myself now as a mother. The same me, but evolved and refined. continuously learning and growing and adjusting. Gosh – this is a new and very bittersweet season for our family. I know my IG community […]

Kids Routine Chart

Kids Routine Chart

My 4 year old is always asking “what are we doing?” and wants to know the plan for the day and what’s coming next. I wanted to find a visual way to help her understand what we’re up to and found this routine chart on Etsy! I purchased and downloaded the digital files, customized it with my kids’ names, and then had everything laminated. From there I cut the routine cards and used Velcro to attach them to the morning, afternoon, and evening charts. I think this will really help her visualize and feel better prepared for her day! 1. Purchased this daily visual routine […]

Lucy and Winnie’s Puppy Party!

Lucy and Winnie’s Puppy Party!

I’m so excited to share the details Lucy and Winnie’s joint puppy party with you today! Lucy and Winnie are exactly two years and three weeks apart, so we decided to host a joint birthday party this year! Lucy turned four on January 25, and Winnie will turn 2 on February 13, so we hosted a birthday party right in the middle of their two birthdays! We haven’t thrown a proper birthday party (outside of our family) since Lucy’s 1st birthday and I  was SO excited to go all out for their party! After the overwhelming and weird last couple of years, I  was ready […]

Reflections from the other side of COVID

Reflections from the other side of COVID

NOTE: I wasn’t sure if I wanted to share this, or to just write it for myself as a way of reflecting. More recently, especially with the new Omicron variant (ugh!), I’ve had more friends test positive and I am just so bummed for them. Hopefully this post in some very small way, shape, or form will be encouraging to those who get a dreaded positive test. Sending love, friends. — As most of you probably know, we got Covid in October, and today, I want to share some reflections and learnings from that experience. 💛 I’m intentionally not going into certain specifics – like […]

Family & Couple Greenhouse Photos

A few months ago, we had some family/couple photos taken in our greenhouse and I wanted to share! I always feel awkward getting professional photos done, but it’s always worth it to have moments like these captured.
