upstairs guest bedroom oasis with wayfair

This post is sponsored by Wayfair, a brand I’ve worked with and shopped from for years. Thanks for reading! We recently completed an upstair renovation project, and I’m excited to share a few more photos of the space today! I shared our new upstairs bathroom in this post and today, I’m going to share the bedroom area! upstairs bathroom reveal

upstairs bathroom reveal

I’m so excited to share photos of our upstairs bathroom! A little backstory on this overall project and upstairs renovation: we bought our house in fall 2018 and were quickly captivated by the 100-year-old house’s location and charm. The house had a lot of quirks and needed some love, but no major renovations or construction projects were required. This is *not* a DIY/how-to post on how to hack the IKEA kitchen. There are tons of those online and here’s a great roundup of IKEA kitchen hacks, too! To start, my parents bought the IKEA play kitchen which is just under $90. It’s pretty simple and minimal as is, making it a perfect blank space for creativity and making the kitchen […]

narrow hallway storage solution (ikea billy review)

narrow hallway storage solution (ikea billy review)

One of the challenging parts of having an old house is often a lack of closets or storage solutions. Our house was built in 1919, and has minimal closets. Our bedroom has a small one that was sloppily added on fairly recently, and Lucy’s room has a similar sized closet. We do have some storage upstairs, which is where we keep a lot of our bulkier items like suitcases, bins of baby clothes, etc. On the main floor, we have no hallway closets, no bathroom closets, no coat closets, no mud room, etc. Sooooo it’s required a bit of creative thinking to figure out how […]
