living room refresh with wayfair

This post is sponsored by Wayfair, a brand I love and shop from regularly. Thanks for supporting brands I partner with! Hello, hello! I’ve shared a few photos of our Nashville house here on my blog and also on Instagram, but I’m hoping to also share individual posts showing you different rooms! Today, I’m going to share some photos of one corner in our living room. ✨ Wayfair reached out to me and asked me to share how I was doing a little design refresh in the New Year. I’ve been in a constant design refresh pretty much since we moved in October, BUT was super […]

our house hunting experience & home must-haves vs. must-adds

our house hunting experience & home must-haves vs. must-adds

We’ve officially lived in our house in Nashville for one month! It’s definitely been a whirlwind couple of weeks/months, but also very exciting! I am planning to share a lot of our home updates here on my blog and of course on my Instagram, but before I do that, I want to take a quick step back and share about our house hunting experience. I recently learned about Opendoor, a company that makes it wayyy easy to buy (and also sell) your home, and I wish I’d known about Opendoor a few months ago! We technically started house hunting in the middle August and the […]

3 easy ways to create fall vibes at home with wayfair

3 easy ways to create fall vibes at home with wayfair

Hello and happy fall! ? This is my first blog post coming to you from NASHVILLE! We moved in last Thursday and the past few days have been a crazy whirlwind as we’re trying to get settled and situated into our new house. I’m excited to share more soon about our process of buying our house and the ever-evolving list of projects and updates we’re doing to turn it into a home. ? While in Europe, Wayfair  reached out and asked me to share more about decorating for fall. I have been partnering with their team for a few years, and was extra excited about this […]

books for baby

books for baby

Another baby post! ? I will likely share more photos of baby’s room/nursery/closet after she arrives, but in the meantime, wanted to share a sneak peek at a little area within her room – her bookshelf! Both E and I looooove to read so it was a no brainer that we wanted to have lots of books for baby. I added quite a few to our baby registry and we received a few favorites that way, but other people have sent us so many other good ones! Her bookshelf is already full so we’re now trying to figure out where to put the rest […]

statement art + gallery wall with minted

statement art + gallery wall with minted

Up until recently, we had the same art hanging in our apartment (#aesfnest). In our living room, above our dining table (and previously above the couch), we had four vintage prints of San Francisco. They were a gift from my parents a few years ago and while I love them, I have been itching for a change in that room. In or bedroom, we have two gallery walls on either side of the bed and I’ve changed around some of the art over the last few years, but there were still some stragglers – pieces that weren’t great or contributing to the overall aesthetic […]

beautiful utility: rug update in our kitchen

Hello friends! I’ve shared photos of my apartment on my blog before and often on Instagram (#aesfnest), but one room I don’t share a ton of photos of is our kitchen. The main apartment areas, our bedroom and living room, get really nice natural light and are fairly spacious, but our kitchen is…small. Tight, slightly crammed, poor lighting. Oh, and rental life means we, of course, didn’t get our choice in finishes and appliances (seriously, our stove and porch are miniature and way too small for tall people like E ?). Wayfair recently challenged me to add some beauty to a “utility” space in my home […]
