Spinach & Pineapple Green Smoothie Bowl Recipe

I’ve always loved smoothies and more recently, have jumped on the oh-so-popular smoothie bowl trend. When Wayfair reached out and asked if I would share a smoothie recipe, alongside 16 other bloggers, I jumped on the opportunity! I was excited to share one of my favorites, plus to discover other smoothie recipes from some fabulous ladies. I decided to create a smoothie bowl for this little challenge because I really like 1.) the contrast in textures between the creamy smoothie and crunchy toppings and 2.) they feel fancy and pretty. And since I typically work from home and wear not-so-fancy clothes all day, I like spicing up […]

Apple Pie with Crumb Topping Recipe

Happy fall y’all! It never quite feels like fall exactly here in San Francisco because we don’t get the seasons changing / gorgeous colorful leaves thing, but I still have my “Autumn in the Park” candle burning as I type this! Fall makes me want to do all the cozy things, like drink hot cider and carve pumpkins and yes, make apple pie. When Wayfair asked me to participate in their annual #BattleOfThePies campaign and share a pie recipe, I jumped on the opportunity because it always feels like a fun challenge to try to bake something new! I’ve mentioned it before, but E’s absolute […]

Experiences Over Things: Dinner Party with IfOnly

“Spending money on experiences ‘provide[s] more enduring happiness’…Experiences tend to make people happier because they are less likely to measure the value of their experiences by comparing them to those of others…Those waiting for experiences were in better moods than those waiting for material goods.” – Excerpt from Buy Experiences, Not Possessions article You’ve likely seen things like the above pop up in your newsfeed in the past, all about why you should spend your time and money on experiences vs. possessions. While I love getting a new purse or pair of shoes (#notsorry), it never quite competes with an amazing experience, whether that’s a concert, vacation or […]

cherry chocolate chip cookie recipe!

Happy Monday! I’ve been trying to experiment more in the kitchen, but usually end up cooking dinner or breakfast, rather than bake. This weekend, I decided to try to bake something from scratch and made cherry chocolate chip cookies! Major yum. I followed this recipe and given I hardly *ever* bake, I was pleasantly surprised that I already had all the ingredients on hand, minus chocolate chips & cherries. We’ll be snacking on these all week! Here’s how to make them yourself and a few pics of the finished cookies {before E and I each ate like…4 of them). INGREDIENTS: ¾ cup unsalted butter, room temperature ¾ cup […]

E’s absolute favorite food is pie!! i would much prefer a fruit pie over cake or most other desserts too and we even opted for pies as our wedding dessert instead of a cake. my grandma made 25+ completely homemade pies – it was AMAZING! when wayfair asked me if I wanted to join their #WayfairPieBakeOff campaign, i absolutely jumped on the opportunity. i never have made a pie on my own so thought it would be a fun {and delicious} challenge. they simply asked me to make a pie and document the recipe with a few pics, so here it goes! we don’t actually have a pie […]
