we’re having a baby!

we’re having a baby!

It was right around this time two years ago that I was sharing a similar update….but you heard it right, we are having baby #2! Lucy is going to be a big sister! I’m so excited to finally share our news publicly because I am TERRIBLE at keeping secrets. Our little babe is due mid-February, so Lucy will be two years and a couple weeks older than this little guy or girl. I’m a little overwhelmed by the thought of having two kids (plus a dog who thinks he’s a human) but mostly SUPER excited and so grateful. 💛 Obviously, this isn’t my first rodeo […]

update: top books for baby

update: top books for baby

Hi friends! How it is already December?! I hope you’ve having a great holiday season so far! Before Lucy was born, I shared a blog post with books for baby and all of the adorable books we were gifted or bought for her. Lucy is now 10 months old and we do *a lot* of reading these days! We keep most of her books in her bedroom (with the cutest ones front and center on the shelves😊) but we have a basket of books on the floor in her room, and a few books in her other baskets scattered throughout the house. I wanted to […]

baby registry essentials

baby registry essentials

I’ve been meaning to write this post for a VERY long time, and here I am, sharing it finally right before Lucy turns 6 months. Oops! Better late than never. Anyway, a lot of pregnant friends have reached out asking about what to put on their baby registry, so wanted to finally compile my list! I’m going to share what we added to our registry, what we used/didn’t use, etc. We have a small apartment, so I really tried to be mindful of what products we registered for, and limit the number of large baby items we received. I also wanted to ensure that the […]

swaddle storage solution + our favorite swaddles

swaddle storage solution + our favorite swaddles

As you likely know, we live in a pretty tiny apartment and converted E’s walk-in closet into a nursery! I’m always looking for ways to be smart and strategic with our space, and today, I wanted to share my one creative and inexpensive solution for storing baby blankets and swaddles. I purchased an over-the-door hanging shoe organizer ($8) and hung it on the door in between Lucy’s closet-turned-nursery and the kitchen. We store all of Lucy’s swaddles and lightweight blankets here! Not only is this an inexpensive solution, but it’s also super convenient to find and easily grab a swaddle/blanket when we need. Our swaddle […]

how to support new parents

how to support new parents

my blog has definitely taken a backseat lately with Lucy here, and all the other life things going on. that being said, this post has been on my mind for awhile and I’m excited to finally share! today, I want to share some ways you/anyone can support and help new parents. before having Lucy, I didn’t know a ton of people with kids, so didn’t have a lot of  hands-on experience helping new parents. here’s some of the amazing, helpful and supportive things people did for US after Lucy was born! some were “big things” and some were small, but still significant things. some were […]
