sf adventures: food and drinks at evil eye

Hi everyone! I recently visited a super new cocktail bar and restaurant in the Mission (Mission Street x 25th Street), Evil Eye, and wanted to share some photos! The bar JUST opened last week and was started by a couple, Matt and Piper, who are so sweet (and those cocktails Matt whips up are A+!). Like, I wanted to be friends with them IRL. The space itself is beautiful and really well curated, with Persian rugs and 70s-inspired furniture all over. There are several nooks and booths for groups to sit in and plenty of room to sit at the big, original bar space if you’re grabbing a […]

wifi & work spots in san francisco

i recently shared that i went out on my own to launch my own company, lucky collective. it’s been about six weeks or so working by myself, and it’s already learned a lot about myself, both personally and professionally. one of the most challenging things has been being alone all day, as i’m extroverted and feed off the energy of other people. instead of working from my apartment all day, i try to switch it up and work from a coffee shop or cafe in either the morning or afternoon. i’m always on the lookout for good spots with wifi so thought i would share my go-to places to work. cocktails in san francisco

I recently went to an event, hosted by Inforum at the Commonwealth Club, that I want to share about! Inforum produces Bay Area events, where you can listen to and meet “local celebrities” in entertainment, tech, pop culture, politics, etc. The event I went to was a cocktail reception and Q&A with the founders of Future Bars, the guys behind Bourbon and Branch and other popular Bay Area cocktail bars. It was super interesting to hear the stories about how they got started, what the purpose of their bars is all about and more. My *favorite* part (other than sipping their yummy cocktails!) was hearing about how they […]

#sftaste photo recap!

this past thursday, i attended the incredible taste of the nation event and wanted to share some photos! as mentioned in a previous post, the event brings together amazing local chefs who make food for guests to sample and enjoy. the event benefits no kid hungry, a movement that partners with local nonprofits to make sure children are getting the food and nutrition that they need. they are still tallying numbers from the event, but the latest i heard was that the event raised over $250,000 to end child hunger. so amazing! aimee and i went together last year and had a blast, but this year, it […]

Join me for Taste of the Nation in SF!

Join me for Taste of the Nation in SF!

I’m so excited to be partnering with No Kid Hungry for their upcoming Taste of the Nation event in San Francisco THIS THURSDAY! I attended the dinner last year with Aimee and had SO much fun sampling food and drinks from amazing spots in the Bay Area, plus gathering around people who are donating their time, money and resources, striving to end childhood hunger. Did you know that 23% of children in California live in poverty? And 37% of demand for food assistance in San Francisco is unmet. San Francisco is one of the richest cities in terms of cuisine and chef talent and all around amazing places […]

SF adventures: recent spots!

I LOVE san francisco and I always get extra reminded of how much I love this city when I return from a trip. I haven’t shared one of my SF Adventures blog posts in awhile and wanted to highlight some amazing new-to-me spots I’ve visited lately. Check them out! P.S. I’ve curated a Pinterest map showing all my fave spots in the city HERE! vive la tarte – beautiful, light-filled cafe. i’ve heard amazing things about their burrata flatbread for lunch too… {soma} nico – adorable french bistro with a fairly reasonably priced tasting menu, especially given they have a michelin star! {laurel heights} presidio social club – […]
