before i went to nicaragua, i was in ohio for a good friend’s wedding and my own bridal shower hosted by my mom, sisters, cousin {maid of honor} and aunts. eric’s parents and sisters flew into ohio from california, which was extra special to have them there to celebrate. the shower was hosted at my aunt’s house, which is in this beautiful cabin in michigan. my aunts and grandma made a huge salad bar and lots of appetizers, plus lemonade and iced coffee {which i had about three of}. we ate together, played a few games {which i initially thought would be really cheesy, but […]

a few weeks ago, i shared some sneak peeks at our wedding invites designed by our lovely and talented friend renée. to be honest, i loved all four of the designs she created. initially, i had thought that i wanted gold-foiled invitations to match our gold-foiled save the dates {via minted}. without prompt, renée put together another invitation suite option for us. this time, it had no gold, but instead beautiful, bohemian florals and greenery. our overall wedding look and feel is very bohemian, outdoors-y, layered and bright with blooming peonies and gold accents as the main decor pieces. this version of invites from renée felt SO […]

happy wednesday! wanted to share part 2 of our engagement photo shoot with cindy loughridge. i was so surprised how much i loved this batch! i was really excited about our dressier outfits for the other two locations, but wasn’t sure how i would feel about the casual outfits we threw together super last minute. i have to say though, i love how they turned out and that we mixed up the shoot with something more laid-back. these photos were taken in the beautiful backyard of general store and outside of trouble coffee in the outer sunset. see round 1 of engagement photos here // stay tuned […]
