how to handle rejection

how to handle rejection

hi friends! I recently was having a bad afternoon where I felt really defeated and disappointed by rejection. I had spent a ton of time on a new work project proposal and was hopeful/excited about the opportunity and then…got rejected (after several weeks of no response – but that’s a different story ūüôÉ). when we are told NO (whether it’s a job offer or promotion you didn’t get, a relationship that didn’t work out, a proposal or idea that was turned down, feeling left out in a social circle, etc.) it can be hard to not let it affect your entire day or self-worth. I’m […]

Creative & Cultivate Recap

Earlier this month, I traveled to NYC with my bestie Aimee to attend Create + Cultivate! C+C is an amazing one-day conference for female creatives and entrepreneurs that happens a few times in a year in different locations, like NYC, LA, Dallas and Palm Springs. The conference covers topics like influencer marketing, branding, promotion and pitching yourself, It was my first conference I’ve attended on behalf of myself/my own company Lucky Collective and it was total inspiration overload. One of my favorite #fangirl moments was attending a panel with the cutest mom blogger Naomi from Love Taza. We also met Insta-famous dog @toastmeetsworld! ?? Since […]

#LoveOfTheJourney: On entrepreneurship & Wente Vineyards

I recently discovered Wente Vineyards, a winery based a few hours from San Francisco in Livermore. I learned that¬†Wente has been around for more than 130 years and is the country’s oldest continuously family owned and operated winery. While I looooove a good trip to a winery to sit in the sun, casually drinking wine, I haven’t had a chance to¬†visit the Wente winery in person yet.¬†I did pick up a bottle of the Wente Southern Hills Cabernet Sauvignon¬†here in SF and enjoyed it recently¬†during a picnic in the park! Wente Vineyards recently launched their¬†#LoveOfTheJourney initiative,¬†celebrating the brand’s¬†heritage and story. Their family – and brand […]

wifi & work spots in san francisco

i recently shared that i went out on my own to launch my own company, lucky collective.¬†it’s been about six weeks or so working by myself, and it’s already learned a lot about myself, both personally and professionally. one of the most challenging things has been being¬†alone all day,¬†as i’m extroverted and feed off the¬†energy¬†of other people. instead of working from my apartment all day, i try to switch it up and work from a coffee shop or cafe in either the morning or afternoon. i’m always on the lookout for good spots with wifi so thought i would share my go-to places to work. […]

LUCKY COLLECTIVE!

LUCKY COLLECTIVE!

I have some exciting news! I’ve launched my own social media, digital marketing and creative shop – Lucky Collective. I’ve wanted to work for myself for a really long time and one main reason was to have more control of my work/life balance and have flexibility¬†to¬†work on what I want and when I want. I chose the word collective because it’s a¬†word that implies bringing together –¬†and that’s what I want to do – bring together amazing people with different skills and talents to do awesome work.¬†My own specialities are social media marketing, event planning, influencer activations and the like, but¬†ultimately, I want to be […]
