Join me for Taste of the Nation in SF!

I’m so excited to be partnering with No Kid Hungry for their upcoming Taste of the Nation event in San Francisco THIS THURSDAY! I attended the dinner last year with Aimee and had SO much fun sampling food and drinks from amazing spots in the Bay Area, plus gathering around people who are donating their time, money and resources, striving to end childhood hunger.

Did you know that 23% of children in California live in poverty? And 37% of demand for food assistance in San Francisco is unmet. San Francisco is one of the richest cities in terms of cuisine and chef talent and all around amazing places to eat, and yet there are children who don’t get breakfast everyday {49% of them, to be exact}.

Soooo – I’d love to extend the invite to you to join me for Taste of the Nation this year! The event is this Thursday, March 24th at the City View at Metreon and tickets are still available! Plus, you can get 20% off your ticket using the code BLOGSF20. All proceeds from your ticket purchase go towards fighting childhood hunger in California, benefiting four amazing organizations 18 Reasons, California Association of Food Banks, California Food Policy Advocates, and Children of Shelters, all of whom do amazing, hands-on work in California to help children. I am especially excited to support this event, given Eric and I are huge fans of 18 Reasons and support the organization monthly. 18 Reasons teaches classes to low-income families to learn how to healthy food on a budget, plus they have weekly dinners that anyone in SF can attend!

There are 40+ restaurants sampling food at the event, including some of my favorites: Foreign Cinema, DOSA, Soulva, Tacolicious {where that delicious cocktail above is from!}, Wayfare Tavern and Slanted Door. Plus – some other amazing spots I’ve been dying to try: Flour + Water, Lazy Bear, Spruce, Causwells, The Keystone and more.

Get 20% off a general admission ticket using the code BLOGSF20. Tickets ) & more info) available HEREAnd here’s some fun photos from the event last year to convince you to attend this super fun – and incredibly meaningful – event. xo!
