reflections: One-on-One Time with My Toddler

reflections: One-on-One Time with My Toddler

I often share quick reflections over on my Instagram (#luckyandireflections) but want to re-share them on my blog too, so they have a more permanent place to live. A couple of weeks ago, Lucy and I had a spontaneous date, just us. We pass one of our favorite restaurants (she calls “the mac & cheese place”) all the time, but she hasn’t been there this year. We used do go almost weekly. We sat outside and ordered her favorite mac and cheese and fries and chatted about life — flowers, bunnies, school, Jack, the “very nice man” (our waiter). At the end, she looked at […]

Top Face Mask Recommendations

Top Face Mask Recommendations

Hello and happy 2021! One thing that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon is the importance of wearing a mask when out in public. I’ve bought many, many masks since the pandemic began, and recently asked my IG followers to share with me their favorite masks. I wanted to compile many of the recommendations of your favorite spots to order masks here on my blog, organized by price point. I  have them organized by under $5 each (everyday masks), $5-10/each, $10-20 each, and $20+/each masks. Some are sold individually, and some some in packs of three or five. Many of them are customizable and […]

reflections: December 2021 pandemic reflections

I often share quick reflections over on my Instagram (#luckyandireflections) but want to re-share them on my blog too, so they have a more permanent place to live. I miss library storytime, the art museum, YMCA childcare, aimless strolls around Target, weekday play dates, the Sunday afternoon singalong, playground meetups, anything to break up the mundane of motherhood. I miss my friends friends down the street, on the other side of town, across the country, around the world. I miss birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, girls’ weekends, holiday gatherings, all types of celebrations but mostly, hugs. I miss cozy, crowded restaurants, working from coffee shops, […]

The ones that are starred I have not tried, so don’t hold me accountable if they aren’t good! 😅 That being said, I  trust you guys and many of these items were recommended by LOTS of you, so might be worth a try! 30 Kids Books about Bunnies

30 Kids Books about Bunnies

If you know Lucy, you know how OBSESSED she is with bunnies. She sleeps with 10+ stuffed animal bunnies and loves reading books about bunnies! In the almost three years since she’s been born, we’ve acquired a LOT of books about rabbits and bunnies. I  believe it’s important to go “all-in” on whatever your kids love and are interested in, so if Lucy is into bunnies, so am I! We spend a lot of time reading about bunnies, so I  wanted to share a few books we own and love. Note: The ones italicized below we do not own YET, but they look awesome, too! […]
