On mourning a friendship

On mourning a friendship

I really connected with this ‘Ask Elaine’ article recently published in The Washington Post. I love following Elaine Welteroth and was really blown away by her direct, but thoughtful advice to someone who was struggling with grieving a 20-year friendship. Friendship changes and endings are something no one really talks about or that you feel prepared for. I’ve shared about friendship in one of my email newsletters here and in my IG highlight here if you’re interested in more on that topic. đź’› Here’s the ‘Ask Elaine’ article about mourning friendships that I really loved! Question: What’s your advice on long-term-friendship breakups? When I say […]

Kids Routine Chart

Kids Routine Chart

My 4 year old is always asking “what are we doing?” and wants to know the plan for the day and what’s coming next. I wanted to find a visual way to help her understand what we’re up to and found this routine chart on Etsy! I purchased and downloaded the digital files, customized it with my kids’ names, and then had everything laminated. From there I cut the routine cards and used Velcro to attach them to the morning, afternoon, and evening charts. I think this will really help her visualize and feel better prepared for her day! 1. Purchased this daily visual routine […]

Europe 2022 (Part 4): Venice, Italy

Europe 2022 (Part 4): Venice, Italy

Hi there! This the fourth and final blog post in my series about our Europe 2022 vacation. As a reminder, we flew into Venice, Italy and then drove to the Lake Garda area for a couple days. Next, we drove up to The Dolomites for several days in the mountains. From there, we drove to Rovinj, Croatia and stayed in a kinderhotel that was incredible for our kids! Our last stop was back in Venice. We dropped off our rental car back at the airport and then took a water taxi (!!) to our hotel for a couple days to explore Venice and relax before heading back home […]

Europe 2022 (Part 3): Staying at a Kinderhotel in Croatia

This is third part of a four part blog post series all about of our trip to Europe this summer! This blog post is about our time staying at a kinderhotel in Rovinj, Croatia! To quickly back up, we flew into Venice, Italy and then drove to the Lake Garda area for a couple days. Next, we drove up to The Dolomites for several days in the mountains. We always love being able to visit new countries and when planning this trip, decided to add Croatia to our trip because it’s not too far from Italy! We actually got to add two new countries to […]

Europe 2022 (Part 2): The Dolomites

Europe 2022 (Part 2): The Dolomites

I can’t recommend this area of the world enough. The Dolomites is a mountain range in the northern Italian Alps! We only scratched the surface of what you can do and see here, but loved our time here! If visiting is on your list, here’s a few places we discovered and loved: ALPE DI SUISI / SEISER ALM Alpe di Siusi was so beautiful! This is the largest high-altitude Alpine meadow in Europe. We took two lift/cableways and spent hours up here — there’s a cute restaurant, tons of trails (including family-friendly options), bike rentals, and picturesque views 🚠🏔🌾 We took the main Suisi lift […]
