Hi friends! We went to Puerto Vallarta in Mexico for New Years Eve and my birthday and I wanted to share a few photos from the trip! It was my first trip to Mexico and I was SO excited to explore and pretty much just sit in the sun doing nothing. We stayed at the Westin and spent almost every day either sitting at the beach or near the pool reading! We would have Coronas and ceviche for lunch, lounge more and then get ready to go into town to have dinner and explore! Here’s a few photos from our adventure and some recommended spots to check out if you ever visit.
Delicious & fun places to go:
John’s Jack’s Fish Shack – my fave! we had fish tacos, three types of ceviche (amazing) and crispy brussel sprouts!
Twisted Palms Rooftop Lounge
Signature Lounge – you have to take a lift up the hill to get here! It’s an adorable hotel with a fun lounge and infinity pool overlooking the city
Los Muertos Brewery
Mikado, a sushi place in the Marriott
La Palapa – this is where we did my birthday dinner on the beach! We had a bottle of wine and coconut shrimp, lobster taquitos and Mahi Mahi
Explore:
Take a boat ride to the Marietas Islands – hidden beach, secret caves..AMAZING
Stroll through the street markets and shops; we found an amazing rug for our kitchen!
