recent eats in san francisco!

hi! one of my favorite things to do is to explore san francisco, whether it’s visiting a new boutique, hiking {or urban walking} a beautiful park or trying a new restaurant. i wanted to quickly share about a few new-to-me restaurants and “recent eats” that i had a chance to check out and eat at recently! as a reminder, here’s a huge, curated map of my favorite places in sf.

aveline in the tenderloin: i recently had the opportunity to check out aveline, a lovely restaurant in the tenderloin. it’s connected to the super cool bar, the european and all within the warwick hotel. the executive chef, kaley laird whipped up an exquisite dinner {with plenty of wine!} for the group. i absolutely loved meeting the restaurant’s general manager, sarah knoefler who was incredibly kind and helpful to our group. while the entrees were yummy, my favorites from the dinner were the small bites and salads. we started with INSANE corn fritters with fresh figs and poblano salsa {pictured below}, then moved into two salads: one with blackened avocado, strawberry and pesto {pictured below} and one with heirloom tomatoes, zucchini and cornbread croutons. we also had two yummy cocktail tastings and finished dinner with an interesting {but nonetheless,  delicious} dessert of grilled avocado cake with coconut sorbet and graham cracker. apologize for the dark photos – our dinner was LATE!

serpentine in the dogpatch: i had one of my absolutely favorite breakfasts in SF ever here! i ordered a veggie frittata with tons of veggies {green peas, corn, squash, cherry tomato}, fontina cheese and roasted salsa. E ordered country fried steak and eggs {flat iron steak, scrambled eggs, biscuit & gravy with TASTY crispy potatoes on the side}. we unfortunately didn’t taste those colorful juices in the photo, but their coffee was on point.

other awesome new-to-me spots that i don’t have pics of:

  • the station SF in jackson square – tons of breakfast and lunch options, wifi, blue bottle and project juice. perfection!
  • sushiritto in the financial district: SO YUMMY and my guilty semi-healthy {i tell myself} lunch spot. i’ve tried the geisha’s kiss {yellowfin tuna, avocado, piquillo peppers, cucumber, lettuce and a ton of other tasty goodness} and salmon samba {agave-soy salmon, tempura asparagus, cucumber, lettuce, avocado and more yummy sauces, etc.}
